			The first line of defence is to prevent dirt entering a building. A 'MATADOR' mat at each entrance goes a long way towards achieving this. It works without the conscious co-operation of the visitor, for the corrugated rubber flicks the dust from the shoes.The dirt removed falls beneath the mat where it remains trapped until taken up by a vacuum cleaner.   Colour: Black Colour: Sandstone
			Matador matting lasts for many years in both internal and external applications. The mats are light and easily handled for removal of trapped dirt and grit by vacuum cleaner. Because of the small surface area, dirt cannot be picked up on relatively clean shoes and carried into the building. If placed outside may be fixed down to avoid theft. Matador is reversible, therefore doubling the life and wearing capacity. The mat can, if necessary, be sterilised. The Matador is more efficient and hygienic than fibre or rubber link mats, because dirt is not held in the mat itself. The success of this mat has been proved by many years use. The Matador protects floor coverings, escalators and lift mechanisms.

	WARNING: this mat is designed to prevent dirt entering a building and accordingly is a robust long-lasting mat which can save substantial sums in avoiding the replacement of floor coverings. It has come to our attention that a certain design of women's stiletto heel shoes may if the wearer does not exercise sufficient care become jammed into the spacing of the mat. Consideration by the buyer should be given to this when determining the suitability of Matador for each entrance.		SPECIFICATION: Matador mats consist of corrugated rubber strips, interspersed with aluminium slats, riveted to each strip, and held together with stainless steel retaining wires. Mats may be either placed into a well, or surface-mounted with or without the ribbed aluminium ramp section.
